We're seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in leading and overseeing the successful delivery of complex, high-impact projects (Customer and Internal), ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
In this role, you will communicate project progress to the Key Stakeholders and Senior Micro Nav Management in accordance with the requirements of the Project Plan and Contract, and to manage Customer project relations throughout the life of the project. You will also be responsible for leading bids and tenders across all lines of business.
Project Planning and Execution: Develop Project Plans, define scope, set timelines and manage cross functional resources in support of the project(s). Create and maintain detailed integrated, resource loaded schedules for all active projects.
Stakeholder Management: Manage communication and relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external, ensuring alignment and satisfaction
Supplier Management: Work with software and hardware providers to provide optimised solutions for each individual project, ensuring requirements are met within budget and timescales.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery. Actively work with key resources throughout the business to reduce and/or mitigate project risks where possible.
Budget Management: Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimised profit.
Quality Assurance: Ensure projects meet quality standards and deliver contractual outcomes.
Performance Monitoring: Track project progress, working closely with all Engineering and other project contributors to ensure performance to plan is achieved.
Strategic Decision Making: Evaluate situations using multiple sources of information to ensure decisions are made using a broad range of information and experience to optimise outcomes.
Reporting: Provide regular project updates to key stakeholders and regularly to the Executive Team.
Process Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of project management processed and methodologies within the organisation.
Lead bid development / preparation activities for new business opportunities, from bid kickoff to submission including quotation, key document and cost estimate deliverables.
Proficient in recognised project management approaches / tools (PMP/PRINCE2).
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of tools; Outlook, Word, Excel and Project required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with sound ability to negotiate internally and externally in customer and stakeholder relationships.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment supporting customer projects worldwide.
Ability to travel internationally to project sites for key milestone events – 25% to 50% travel.
Ability to understand and process technical information relevant to projects.
Experience/knowledge of project management techniques and methods; knowledge and application of Project Management methodologies and techniques.
Project Management Certification required (PMP or PRINCE 2 qualification acceptable)
Minimum education: University level degree in Engineering, Business or Project Management (required).
Experience of bid management.
Experience of (project based) personnel management.
Experience in managing multiple complex projects and/or bids concurrently
Experience in a customer-facing role, with preference toward international customer experience.
Experience of creating successful cross-functional teams of mixed disciplines and personnel at all levels.
Knowledge of ATC environment, preferably airside operations and/or simulation experience is preferred.
