Tony Bushnell

Richard Bonner

Operations Director

Shane Hannam

Head of Sales and Marketing

Greg joined Micro Nav in 2017 as Operations Director, having spent 10 years in the UAE forming part of the management team ensuring the smooth delivery of air traffic operations at Dubai International Airport, and the commissioning of Al Maktoum International Airport. Prior to his time in the Middle East, Greg gained experience working for skyguide, Micro Nav and Serco, in operations and simulation.

In 2019, Greg was appointed Managing Director of Micro Nav.

Outside of work, Greg enjoys long hikes, technical diving when he has the time, and has a passion for rare cars.

Tony joined Micro Nav in 2016. Previously, he was Chief Engineer for Air Traffic Control solutions. He has over 20 years’ experience in managing software teams in the aviation and defence sectors.

Tony now manages all the engineering and development behind BEST, and its delivery to customers. He has been instrumental in harnessing the latest technology to continually improve Micro Nav’s products and services.

Beyond Micro Nav, Tony is his family’s chief taxi driver and dog walker.

Richard joined Micro Nav early 2018 as Head of Programmes, having held senior management positions at Leidos, Serco Middle East and NATS, delivering complex solutions to air traffic control customers. 15 months later he was appointed Operations Director.

Richard is a Chartered Engineer with a degree from York University and an accredited APM Programme Manager.

Shane studied Business Information Technology at Bournemouth University, and joined Micro Nav for his placement year within the ICT department. Following his graduation, he returned to Micro Nav in 2005 and spent a number of years delivering a large number of BEST installations and supporting customers. In 2014, Shane moved into the role of Product Manager, providing guidance for the direction of the BEST product, and in 2019, Shane was appointed as Head of Sales and Marketing.

Shane became a dad for the first time in 2019, so his time on the golf course and watching the football has been greatly reduced.

Chris Robertson

Instructor

Alex joined us in 2019, bringing with him a wealth of international business experience, having held senior commercial and management positions with Westwind Air Bearings, Honeywell, and Carlisle Fluid Technology. Alex is passionate about providing high service levels, and is excited to be working to introduce more people to the BEST simulation software.

Alex enjoys challenging his son to a round of golf, accepting that he is likely to be beaten, or going for a kayak trip with his daughter.

Amanda is the Head of Programmes, managing the Project Management and System Delivery teams at Micro Nav. She joined in 2019 following 15 years with The Boeing Company, with experience in Finance, Project and Programme Management, Risk Management and Proposal Development, primarily in support of manned US Space Programmes, including the International Space Station, Space Shuttle, and Space Launch System. Amanda has also worked a number of analyst and proposal roles in support of other Boeing products, including domestic and international Chinook programmes.

Amanda enjoys travel, hiking (particularly in the Scottish Highlands!), heirloom vegetable gardening, and remains a dedicated fan of space exploration.

Chris completed 30 years as an RAF ATC officer, qualified as Tower, Area, Instructor and Examiner, achieving the rank of Wing Commander. He was part of the team that designed the controller interfaces for the Swanwick ATC Centre, and commanded the military unit for the transfer of operations and first operational years. He was later responsible for the Swanwick en-route and London Terminal operations with NATS.

Chris joined Micro Nav in 2010 as an ATC Subject Matter Expert, and in 2013 took up the role of Customer Domain Manager, providing post-project delivery support to customers. Since 2019, he is Head of ATM Simulation Solutions, leading an experienced team of ex-controllers, providing essential operational expertise and support to all areas of the organisation.

When he's not supporting a customer on site, Chris is a keen aeromodeller (especially WWII radio-controlled flying scale aircraft), or on the golf course, playing to a single-figure handicap.

Trained as an Air Traffic Controller, Chris joined Micro Nav in 2012 to provide simulation product training. Taking place at either the Micro Nav offices or a customer site, he combines his love of travel with meeting new people, and passing on his expertise of BEST for novice to advanced users.

When not travelling for work, Chris enjoys playing snooker badly, watching Newcastle United lose football matches, buying gadgets he doesn't need, and playing too many video games.

Dave is one of the experts on all things BEST 3D (Image Generator) and Fast Airport Builder (FAB), and often delivers customer training on both. Outside of work, Dave enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, running cross-country half marathons, playing rugby, and drinking craft ales.

David is an ex-Royal Air Force Air Traffic Control Officer with over 21 years’ experience, including time spent as an Instructional Techniques Trainer in training design, and within development and training analysis.

He joined Micro Nav in 2011, and supports the company with his industry experience, and provides specialist services in writing requirements to cover gaps between operational ATC behaviour and simulation capability. In his spare time, he enjoys training for various Ironman triathlons or marathons, as well as working with a local football club as their sports injury specialist.

Before joining Micro Nav, Silke worked for Cunard and Seabourn Cruise Lines, and Fitness First HQ, having gained her Masters degree in Tourism and Marketing, gaining experience in marketing and running events.
